Berserk Episode 7
The 1997 Berserk anime series is based on the manga series of the same name by Kentaro Miura. The episodes are directed by Naohito Takahashi and animated by Oriental Light and Magic. The first thirteen volumes of the manga are covered.[1][2] The series' twenty-five episodes aired between October 8, 1997 and April 1, 1998 in Japan on Nippon TV.[3][a]

The series focuses on the life of Guts, an orphaned mercenary warrior who calls himself "The Black Swordsman", as he looks upon his days serving as a member of a group of mercenaries, the Band of the Hawk. Led by an ambitious, ruthless, yet intelligent and graceful man named Griffith, together they battle their way into the royal court, and are forced into a fate that may change their entire lives. Each episode uses two pieces of theme music, one opening theme and one ending theme. The opening theme is "Tell Me Why" by Penpals. The ending theme is "Waiting So Long" by Silver Fins.
In fact, this whole episode feels just plain inevitable, as Guts's search for Casca, Farnese's hunt for the heretics, Nina's desire to escape her cruel world, and Isidoro's desire to prove his mettle all converge perfectly into the next burst of demon attacks summoned by the call of the God Hand's brand. Relative to all the careful setup that's come before, episode 7 is a joy that's over in a whiplash flash, so I'm kind of at a loss for what to even discuss. What do you even say about a climax (or pre-climax since the battle isn't over yet) that already speaks for itself so well? Everyone's karma is coming back to bite or reward them in all the right ways (or at least the ways Miura makes you feel are right), and this episode's brisk pacing and smart cross-cutting keep your head firmly in the action at all times without ever forcing you to turn your brain off.
The only person whose fate seems to pay off in a positive way is Isidoro, who actually shows Guts up by putting his bravery to the test and pelting some demons with rocks. Even if Guts had arrived in time to save Casca, Nina probably wouldn't have survived without the Black Swordsman's unwanted sidekicks. He and Puck give this episode some much-needed levity, and I'm liking both of them more and more every week. (Of course, the best joke in this week's episode was the next episode preview, which dramatically subtitles a shot of the goat-man demon with a big bold "Baeeeeeh!")
Even if it still doesn't do its source manga justice, this was easily the best episode of Berserk 2016 yet. I hope this show doesn't improve enough to where I'm going to start wanting more when it ends in five more episodes. Seriously, are they just completely yanking the plug on this effort, or are they gonna re-circle the wagons and try for a better Berserk continuation in a different style? After the bulk of story we've already gotten that hasn't even scratched the surface of Midland post-Golden Age, one cour isn't nearly enough to feed our mighty need.
Warning: contains spoilers for Berserk: The Golden Age Arc - Memorial Edition episode 7A new Berserk series just missed a massive opportunity when adapting Studio 4C's Golden Age Arc movie trilogy into TV show format. While many of the series' fans had hoped Berserk: Memorial Edition would fix some of the films' issues, the new series unfortunately misses more than a few opportunities to do so.
Studio 4C's Berserk movie project initially faced the difficult task of condensing the original manga's 102-chapter Golden Age arc into three movies. Since the critically acclaimed 1997 anime succeeded in adapting these chapters into 25 episodes, the trilogy was never destined to be a perfect retelling of Berserk. But the new and ongoing Berserk: The Golden Age Arc - Memorial Edition series has been attempting to rectify this mistake by adding scenes that originally didn't make the cut for the first three movies. Unfortunately, many moments from the manga and 1997 anime still haven't appeared in the Memorial Edition.
Memorial Edition's seventh episode, entitled "One Snowy Night," features a royal ball during which time Midland's King announces the elevation of Griffith's Band of the Hawk to knighthood. The ball, however, concludes with little to no ceremony in Berserk's Memorial Edition except for the obvious celebration (and grumbling from nobles) that follows. This couldn't be farther from the original story since it completely neglects both a major scheme to assassinate Griffith and, later on, the realization that Griffith miraculously evaded death.
AMELIA: Yeah. Yeah, she did great in these episodes. A little too great, I think. But, yeah. I would rather have her than Nina, who is the opposite, and does nothing. Kind of positive, I think.

With the sky being the limit success of Berserk, the team is back with a memorial edition that many fans literally were anxious for; well, it is here now and is taking all of the anime industry. It has released six episodes now and is set to release the seventh one soon.
The last few episodes of Mob Psycho 100 III seemed to have cooled down from the intensity of the Divine Tree arc; however, this was merely a ruse as the dramatic events at the conclusion of episode 9 are developed in episode 10. After being hit by the truck, Mob has been rendered unconscious, and in an all too familiar sequence of events, the raging monster that emerges from deep inside Mob whenever he reaches the mysterious "???%" state is unleashed upon an unsuspecting Seasoning City.
When Mob loses total control of himself, his powers assume a destructive "autopilot" mode that undoubtedly plants him at the top of the list of Mob Psycho 100's most powerful characters. This unfortunate sequence of events in episode 10 yields what is perhaps Mob's most destructive meltdown ever, and this one produces several casualties.
Shocked by what has just transpired, everyone involved in the accident, as well as its witnesses idle briefly as the gravity of the situation sets in. The truck driver attempts to call an ambulance, but his phone starts glitching, and various electronic devices across the city are rendered unusable. Before anyone can even react, the ground around the unconscious Mob cracks dramatically as an instantaneous depression forms in the ground around him. The episode cuts to scenes of the situation in the city, with various people complaining about faulty electronics and traffic drawing to a complete halt before an ominous shot of Mob's advancing legs, cloaked in a red aura of what can be described as a visual depiction of pure malice. Every step he takes wreaks unbridled destruction as the ground cracks and shakes and buildings are destroyed, putting countless people in severe danger. He cuts through the forest, holding the flowers in his hand as he advances to his destination when he is intercepted by Teru, for a good reason this time around.
Teru tries to talk to Mob, but he quickly realizes what he's up against, having gone up against Mob in his berserk state before. Teru even reminisces on that occasion, since it was the first time he and Mob ever met back during the first season of Mob Psycho 100. Having learned that he is nothing compared to the amazing people who exist out there in the world, Teru's worldview changed since meeting Mob, and he has since tried to push himself to improve himself and see more to himself beyond his psychic powers. He tries to stop Mob because he remembers that the first time they met, Mob entered this "???" state and destroyed Black Vinegar Middle School; however, having regained his composure, Mob ended up crying about what he'd done. On some level, Teru knows that he is outmatched, and Mob's ruthless attacks at his complete, unfettered strength proves to be an insurmountable challenge for him, but he pushes himself to keep up with Mob's assault and continue to get his friend to regain his senses. Throughout the bout, Mob is silent, and the only time he reacts to some kind of stimulus or provocation is when Teru attempts to destroy the bouquet of flowers that Mob got from Minegishi shortly before the accident.
